Meet the individuals who are dedicated to empowering women of all ages to proactively monitor their pelvic floor health in an accessible and approachable way.

Gabriele Niederauer, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder
Dr. Gabi Niederauer has over 30 years of past experience in product development and commercialization of four separate medical device companies and served in key senior management positions. Her leadership expertise was critical to the successful development of those companies, where she led research, development, regulatory, quality, clinical and intellectual property functions. Dr. Niederauer has produced over 20 peer reviewed medical device articles, over 50 presentations, has led completion of 9 US patents, numerous international patents and numerous regulatory approvals, including BVT’s CE Mark. All four of her former companies were acquired (Bluegrass Vascular Technologies – acquired by Merit Medical; ENTrigue Surgical – acquired by ArthroCare, C2M Medical – acquired by Tornier, OsteoBiologics – acquired by Smith & Nephew). Investors in each of these transactions achieved positive returns.

Stefan Niederauer, PhD, VP of Engineering
Stefan Niederauer, PhD, serves as VP of Engineering and directs the development activities. His expertise is in exercise-based pelvic floor biomechanics and medical device innovation resulting in patent applications and related publications. Dr. Niederauer’s expertise is in pelvic floor biomechanics and medical device innovation. He oversaw the production of over 1400 intra-vaginal transducers for the large-scale Motherhood and Pelvic Health study at the University of Utah. He has also developed ISO-13485 certified quality systems and submitted FDA 510(k) premarket notifications during extracurricular work at Through the Cords, LLC and the Center for Medical Innovation, at the University of Utah. He has also received several medical device design and business model development awards throughout his graduate career.

Robert Hitchcock, PhD, Chief Technical Officer
Robert Hitchcock, PhD, serves as Chief Technical Officer and has decades of experience in medical device development, both in industry and academic positions. Dr. Hitchcock was the principal investigator for preliminary pelvic floor device development. He has been a medical device engineer, manager, and executive at several leading medical device companies. Dr. Hitchcock has over 70 peer-reviewed publications and 32 patents. Since joining the University of Utah in 2006, he has successfully commercialized several medical products, exemplified by his work with Catheter Connections, which was sold to Merit Medical in 2017.
